In Wendy Red Star’s piece 1880 Crow Peace Delegation, the artist annotates portraits by Charles Milton Bell of the members of the Crow Peace Delegation that traveled to Washington DC in 1880.
Designers applied this strategy to images they gathered by researching clothing from a particular time and place.
